You can get some of the best fish and chips in Scotland straight from the sea at Troon Harbour – just 10 minutes’ drive – or you can go to any one of the town centres that offer a wide range of restaurants, cafes and bars.

Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow, is within 35 minutes’ drive, and the capital city Edinburgh is 1 hour 30 minutes from the airport.

Edinburgh is a historic city set in the shadow of a magnificent castle. It is also taken over in the month of August by one of the world’s largest culture and comedy festivals.
Scotland is the home of golf and Ayrshire, where Glasgow Prestwick Airport is located, has three open championship venues within a 20 mile radius of the airport.
Prestwick Golf Club, the birth place of the Open Championship, is only a 5 minute drive from the airport.
